New Rise in De Minimis Level Now in Effect

On March 10, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) raised the de minimis level for U.S. imports from $200 to $800. As a result of the increase, shipments under $800 can now enter the United States duty-free with few documentation requirements. The increase will greatly facilitate e-commerce sales and drop shipments. The increase is the result of FASA/Gemini-supported legislation signed into law last month.
